Here is a few simple steps to enabling secure printing on your ASCLOUD laptop.

We are asking all staff to ensure that they have secure printing enabled as soon as possible to reduce the amount of paper that is being wasted via the two copiers.

If you have any questions or get stuck, please log a ticket via the helpdesk and we will get round as soon as possible.

Step by Step

  1. Going to the search bar in the bottom left hand corner of your screen and search for Printers.
  2. Select the first option which is called 'Printers & Scanners'
  3. In the new window you will be able to see all of the copiers you have available. Select one of the two copiers that are available and click on it to open the options which will appear below.
  4. Click on 'Manage'
  5. Next, select 'Printing Preferences'
  6. A new window will then open up where you can select copies, colour, print type etc. On the right hand column you will be able to see an option called 'Output Method'
  7. In the Output Method drop down you will need to select 'ID&Print' as shown above.
  8. Then click on 'Apply' and 'OK'
  9. Next back on the settings page you will need to click on 'Printer Properties'
  10. Select the 'Settings' tab which will be the last option along the top bar.
  11. Click on 'Authentication Settings' and ensure the top two settings are checked
    1. Verify authentication settings before printing
    2. Popup authentication dialog when printing
  12. Once you have done this, click on OK and you have now enabled secure printing for your laptop.

If you have access to both of the copiers you will need to repeat this step for the other copier.

If you have any questions or get stuck, please log a ticket via the helpdesk and we will get round as soon as possible to get this resolved.
